  • 2 g matcha
  • 60 ml water at 75 C
  • 180 ml oat milk
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 0.25 tsp turmeric
  • pinch of ginger
  • pinch of black pepper

Steps

  1. Sift 2g of matcha into a bowl.
  2. Add 60ml of water at 75 degrees Celsius and whisk for 20 seconds.
  3. Warm 180ml of oat milk with a quarter teaspoon of turmeric, a pinch of ginger, and a pinch of black pepper.
  4. Bring the milk to about 60 degrees Celsius and whisk until smooth.
  5. Stir in 1 teaspoon of honey, then pour over the matcha in a mug.

Whisk about 20 seconds.

Black pepper is traditional with turmeric and adds a gentle warmth to the cup.
