  • 2 g matcha
  • 30 ml water at 75 C
  • 180 ml whole milk
  • 2 tsp simple-syrup
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • ice

Steps

  1. Sift 2g of matcha into a bowl.
  2. Add 30ml of water at 75 degrees Celsius and whisk for 15 seconds.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  4. Stir 2 teaspoons of simple syrup and half a teaspoon of vanilla extract into 180ml of cold whole milk.
  5. Pour the milk over the ice, then top with the matcha.

Whisk about 15 seconds.

Make a small batch of simple syrup with equal parts sugar and water and refrigerate.
