  • 2 g matcha
  • 60 ml water at 75 C
  • 200 ml whole milk

Steps

  1. Sift 2g of matcha into a bowl.
  2. Add 60ml of water at 75 degrees Celsius and whisk for 20 seconds.
  3. Steam 200ml of whole milk to a smooth microfoam at about 60 degrees Celsius.
  4. Pour the matcha into a 350ml mug.
  5. Pour the milk in a slow stream to combine cleanly.

Whisk about 20 seconds.

A good cafe latte lets the matcha lead. No syrup is needed when both ingredients are quality.
