No accounts, no app server
Matcha Almanac runs entirely in your browser. There is no sign-in and no backend database for your content. Your journal and tins are never uploaded to us.

Your journal stays in your browser. Payments are handled by RevenueCat and Stripe.
What is stored locally
Your brew journal, tin cellar, saved recipes, learned guide cards, notes, and your daily caffeine cap are saved in this browser using localStorage under the key "matcha-web:v2". This data never leaves your device.
Analytics
If analytics are enabled, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and reports only aggregate page metrics. It does not build a profile of you, track you across sites, or read your journal. There are no advertising trackers or third-party pixels.
Payments
Premium purchases are handled by RevenueCat and Stripe. When you buy Premium, they process your email and payment details on their own systems under their privacy policies; we never see your card. An anonymous purchase id is stored in this browser so the app can recognise your Premium access on this device. Keep your receipt email for recovery.
Your data, your control
With Premium you can export everything as JSON or CSV at any time from the Export tool for a portable backup. Clearing your browser storage for this site permanently removes all saved data, since there is no copy anywhere else.
