Method

  1. Warm the chawan with hot water, then dry it.

  2. Sift 2g of matcha into the bowl.

  3. Add 70ml of water at 75 degrees Celsius.

  4. Whisk briskly in a W or M pattern for 20 seconds.

  5. Lift the chasen slowly to leave a fine even foam.

  6. Drink within a few minutes for best flavor.
