Method

  1. Melt 20g of white chocolate in a small saucepan with a splash of warm milk.

  2. Sift 2g of matcha into a bowl and add 60ml of water at 75 degrees Celsius.

  3. Whisk for 20 seconds until smooth.

  4. Stir the melted white chocolate into 200ml of warm whole milk.

  5. Pour the matcha into a mug and top with the white chocolate milk.

  6. Stir gently to combine.

White chocolate burns easily. Use low heat and stir constantly while melting.Almanac note

Keep the ratio that worked

The journal keeps this bowl (grams, water, temperature, and how it actually tasted) on this device, so the next one starts from what worked. It builds a 13-week heatmap as you go, and it is free and unlimited. Premium adds the tin cellar, so each bowl is costed against the tin you actually poured it from.
